About Me

It has been my joy and passion to support the physical, psychological, and spiritual healing process of many individuals through the gifts of yoga.
My teaching style is a synthesis of my life as a mom of twins (my forever gurus), a wife, a high school teacher, a student of literature and philosophy, and my daily consistent yoga practice. My classes offer nourishment to the mind, body, and soul. I like to help my students find the path to happiness the same way it has been shown to me and I love watching them growing in their practice, noticing what stands in the way and working on their reactions to life and letting go.
In my classes I emphasize the importance of consistence in our daily life. Showing up to a mat often times is not what we think we need at that moment; however the mat is the bridge between the world outside and the inner Self. Life is a long windy road and we are our own driver. Establishing a connection and trust in our internal GPS after all is the key to a smooth and beautiful ride.
I also teach my students about giving…though we must also know how to 'receive' so we don't become 'reactionary when we don't get what we need in return. The Universe has allowed me to receive the energy of life and this fills the well for enthusiasm for life and happiness that I love to share.
In addition to a creative sequence of asanas, I offer comfort and relaxation, but there's also this sense of love that exudes in my classes: love of yoga and love of self that I emphasize to my students. My style of teaching has just the right mixture of the physical and the spiritual. Intuitively, I always know when my students need more of one than the other. Purposeful readings of poems or passages are always part of my classes, helping with the nourishing of the mind and soul. Whether my students are searching for stress relief, happiness or an enlightenment of any source, I show them a safe path to trust, a safe path to follow, and a safe path to be content everywhere.
I love to share with my students what I have learned from my daily studies of yoga: The devotion and commitment to my practice has taught me how to appreciate the greatest lessons of life: to observe the true nature of what is happening within oneself. At the end of my classes my students tend to leave stronger both physically and mentally, allowing them to have the ability to face challenges head on with clarity and courage.
My philosophy is that by constantly practicing yoga we learn how to share and appreciate the greatest lessons of life: how to understand, express and love oneself, inside and out. If you love and feel confident about yourself, you can spread this feeling to others around you. When you are more in touch with the body and mind you are stronger both physically and mentally; harmonized, balanced and stress-free; therefore navigating the turbulent waters of life becomes magnificent and ecstatic.
I am honored to share my teachings of yoga as a conscious breath and movement as a path towards happiness. As a teacher (on and off the mat) I hope to continue to serve the community by guiding and inspiring my students the same way a chain of teachers has always inspired me. I credit my beloved sons for being my gurus in this path and my husband with all the support. I bow down to the lineage and all my teachers, past, present and future.
