SUP Yoga
SUP Yoga is a variation of basic stand up paddle boarding (SUP), combined with yoga. Through meditation in movement SUP Yoga classes focus on working on the strength and flexibility required to maintain the balance and postures on the beautiful and fluid water of our local bays.
It's suited for all levels and ages and a class I highly recommend everyone to try at least once.
SUP Yoga is indeed one of the most beautiful ways to connect with nature.
SUP Yoga
My unique SUP Yoga classes are approximately 75 minutes and start out with gliding along Westhampton Beach’s scenic waters, warming up and familiarizing with paddle strokes.
After getting used to the board, we move through a beautiful sequence of meditative and strengthening postures, ending up in a complete state of bliss.
All classes are taught by me and assisted by Sherman who is a certified Stand Up Paddle instructor through ASI (Academy of Surfing Instructors), has 30+ years surfing experience, CPR, and often times plays live ukulele during Savasana!
Although SUP Yoga is only for the warmer months, Island Surf provides boards and gear year round. Check their board collection! They also have an amazing staff.
